illustration

I posted the photo of Stewart Island but for this week’s class with Maja the subject was landscapes.  I decided to sketch this picture.  I am always trying to challenge myself with watercolours.  I used some Rohrer and Klinger inks, Winston and Newton watercolours and white acrylics for highlight.  I did use pen for some more fine detail and pencil crayons for defining shadows and highlights.

It’s ok.  I used hotpress paper but I know illustrating is a journey.  I am hoping this will help me get back to surface pattern design.  I have yet to start that journey
