Packing and Unpacking
Well, it’s four days until Christmas and we are getting settled into the new place. We moved mostly to be closer to the kids new school and this place feels more like a home than our last place. We had a crummy experience in the last rental since we are newbies. Things like bond cleans and the time spent really scrubbing up a place that isn’t just our dirt but years of dirt that wasn’t cleaned properly before we moved in.
Lessons learned. I didn’t enjoy the last house much. It was an awkward layout, smelled funny and just really old. The only redeeming quality it was near the kids school this past year.
The summer holiday plans were postponed due to cyclones so instead we get the fun task is cleaning and settling into the new house. The whole family pitched in and weeded, mowed the lawn, unpacked and build IKEA furniture.
Love the inserts and cupobard combinations I picked to customize the Kallax. It took awhile and I am still in the process of organizing all my creative hobbies into each square.
Made a mess and made sugar cookies. That was rather fun. I haven’t baked in probably close to two years. Like properly baked. Like I said, the other house…was meh.
I started to fix Bear as well. Doc McStuffins to the rescue! It just filled out Bear as he was losing weight and then patched him up.
Also repaired Guzzlord up in the featured image as well.
Keeping myself pretty busy for the Christmas holiday break. There is too much to do and much more unpacking and organizing to do! Hope everyone is having a happy holiday and looking forward to the new year.
